Chartered Engineer (CEng)
Is an engineer registered with the Engineering Council (the British regulatory body for engineers) having gained professional competencies through training and experience. The title Chartered Engineer is protected by civil law and the Engineering Council regulates the practice of professional engineering in the UK.
Membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE)
Awarded to an engineer practising in the area of civil engineering. Professionally qualified members of ICE are
recognised for their level of competence and, as a member they are entitled to add the letters MICE to their name
and use the ICE’s protected title of Chartered Civil Engineer
Member Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB)
Members of CIOB are amongst the most highly regarded professionals working throughout the construction industry, with membership representing the wide diversity of roles within the construction industry and promotes the delivery of high work standards and values. Holders of the CIOB qualification are recognised throughout the industry as knowledgeable and competent in their field with a personal commitment to continual professional development.
Associate of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters (ACILA)
The Institute sets the professional and ethical standards for those who work in the handling of losses. It provides an examination structure that enables members to obtain the highest professional qualifications in claims handling. CILA is self-regulating and totally committed to its core values of standard setting, examination and professional conduct. The standards of professionalism and integrity demanded by the Institute have led to its members being respected throughout the insurance world.
Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters (FCILA)

Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute (FCII)
This is a premier qualification for the insurance industry, demonstrating an individual’s knowledge and professionalism to colleagues and peers and is achieved by further extensive study over and above ACII.
Diploma in Insurance of CII (Dip CII)
This is a technical and supervisory qualification for insurance staff working across sectors of the insurance profession, demonstrating the technical knowledge and commitment to professional development
Certificate in Insurance of CII (Cert CII)
These are core qualifications providing a grounding in insurance essentials. Holders are entitled to use this qualification to highlight their educational achievement and commitment to professional development.
Associate Member for Association for Project Safety (AaPS)
The APS is the sole UK representative on the Executive Board of ISHCCO; the International Safety and Health Construction Co-ordinators Organisation. It provides guidance to improve safety through education and training. Associate Members of APS are all required to maintain their skills, knowledge and experience by undertaking continuing professional development each year.
Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors (FPWS)
