Innovation Group’s global carbon intensity reduction target is to reduce our full time equivalent emissions intensity (tCO2e/FTE) by 6% by the end of FY2015 against a FY2013 base year. We plan to extend this reduction to achieve 15% by the end of FY2020
CDP, formerly Carbon Disclosure Project, is an international, not-for-profit organisation providing the only global system for companies and cities to measure, disclose, manage and share vital environmental information. CDP works with market forces, including 767 institutional investors with assets of US$92 trillion, to motivate companies to disclose their impacts on the environment and natural resources and take action to reduce them. CDP now holds the largest collection globally of primary climate change, water and forest risk commodities information and puts these insights at the heart of strategic business, investment and policy decisions.
CDSB is an international consortium of business and environmental organisations committed to the integration of climate change-related information into mainstream corporate reporting. CDSB advances its mission by acting as a forum for collaboration on how existing standards and practices can be supported and enhanced.
The Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol, developed by World Resources Institute (WRI) and World Business Council on Sustainable Development (WBCSD), sets the global standard for how to measure, manage, and report greenhouse gas emissions.
Hundreds of companies and organisations around the world are using GHG Protocol standards and tools to manage their emissions and become more efficient, resilient, and prosperous organisations.
What is the UN Global Compact?
The UN Global Compact is a strategic policy initiative for businesses that are committed to aligning their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption. By doing so, business, as a primary driver of globalisation, can help ensure that markets, commerce, technology and finance advance in ways that benefit economies and societies everywhere.
Sustainability at our core
We believe sustainability is about Planet, People and Profit.
Innovation Group is committed to running its businesses in a responsible, considered, informed and sustainable way. We do this by managing our impact on the environments and societies in which we operate.
Innovation Group has established a Sustainability Strategy for 2014–2020. At the heart of this strategy are eight themes:

Carbon is our number one sustainability concern
Any organisation working in the insurance sector is well aware that climate change is already having, and will continue to have, a profound impact on our sector.
We have aligned or carbon reporting process to the requirements of both the Green House Gas Protocol and the Climate Disclosure Standards Board (CDSB) Climate Change Reporting Framework.
